Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar expressed such grief at the birth centenary celebrations of journalist Zahur Hossain Chowdhury at the National Press Club on Monday (26 June 2022). Speaking as the special guest in a tone of some frustration over the misuse of technology, Mustafa Jabbar further said that when the website of the unregistered news portal is shut down, they run their activities on Facebook. When the video campaign is stopped on Facebook, it is promoted on YouTube.
Commenting on Zahur Hossain Chowdhury as a guide, the minister said, "New equipment will come, technology will come. But the path that Zahur Hossain Chowdhury has paved, will not be replaced by instruments, it will not be replaced by technology. The nation will remember the greatness of Zahur Hossain Chowdhury's talent, thinking and creativity".
National Professor Dr. AK Azad Khan also spoke at the publication festival. Information Minister Hasan Mahmud, President of the Press Club Farida Yasin, General Secretary of the National Press Club Ilyas Khan, Senior Journalist Farid Hossain, Veteran Journalist Ershad Majumder, Poet and Journalist Chapal Bashar were also present at this event.
